Step by step, this system has evolved from a program used solely for process documentation and archival to a full-scale system that supports the health-care professional in each stage of the processing and handling of sterile goods. The software package provides the hospital’s central sterilization supplies department with a quality management system to support and document all steps of the cleaning and sterilization processes, tracking and usage of the sterile goods and consumables used on patients. This includes process-documentation, inspection and release, storage, distribution and transport throughout the whole life-cycle.
